Mahendra wadi, one of the lesser known historical places, upholds the architectural skills of Pallavan dynasty. Built in early 6th century by king Mahendra Varman, there lies a monolithic temple that has been carved out of a single rock. Also nearby is the picturesque Mahendra wadi lake.
