When the city was still sleeping, 22 people were sleepless and waiting for the clock to tick by 3 am in the morning.
By 3.30 all of us assembled near the Tambaram flyover mounted on their Honda CB 350s. The helmets they wore were hiding the smile and excitement in their faces. Sharply @4 am, the bikes roared and steered thru the GST Road.
After an hour and half from start they halted on a roadside tea shop so that the riders remain awake for the ride. Again we stopped at another roadside modern tea stall to pick up The Tech Wizard of our group, Varadan from Pondy . As we planned for a brunch instead of breakfast. We rode thru further and took a right turn @ Ulundurpet towards Salem. When they spotted an A2b the machines took a left turn uncontrollably to fill their hunger pangs.
After a sumptuous breakfast started again and took the unusual left towards thammampatti and further to the north side foothills of Kolli and man what a beauty it was? There were 30 hairpin bends and the CB 350s with their typical thud wound thru the bends while, Varadhan and Bart capturing the beautiful scenery with their Insta 360 cameras while Vivek was doing the same with his action camera.
Reached the resort around 12.30. Got ourselves ready for the exciting shower in the Aagaya Gangai waterfalls which is a down hill with 1200 steps . Our feet were refusing to climb down and finally reached the mammoth falls. Varadan got into action and flew his drone camera up above the falls some 130 mts height. While the others jumped into the wading water towards the gigantic falls.
It was like water massage as all of us were literally beaten by the forceful water. Got back to the resort and most of us were indulged in being drenched by the drinks. The newbies got inducted in the riding club and then went for dinner. Early in the morning we woke up for visiting some private viewpoints by the resort guys. The phones got filled by the clicks, went for another private falls and had a nice bath while Varadan was again busy with his drone capturing the captivating beauty of Kolli hills.
Indulged in a five star like buffet breakfast and then the machines were roaring to descend down hill thru the famous 70 hairpin bend route and again Varadan was unstoppable for his passion for his craft of photography, flew his drone capturing the beauty of the winding hillside road. We climbed down unwillingly , mesmerised by the wild and scenic Kolli hills. The CB 350s roared back to home Chennai ! What a memorable Ride it was !❤️❤️
